Biography

Jerry Rulsky is a California trial attorney and the founder of Rulsky Law Group, APC, a plaintiff side California based personal injury firm focused on serious and complex injury cases. The firm was originally founded in 2014 and rebranded in 2025, reflecting the evolution of Jerry’s practice and the level of cases the firm now undertakes.

From the outset of his legal career, Jerry has practiced in personal injury law, representing individuals and families in high stakes matters against insurance companies, corporate defendants, and public entities. His practice concentrates on motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases, including commercial trucking and transportation claims, rideshare litigation, and other high exposure matters. He also regularly handles government claims, including collisions involving police, fire department, and postal service vehicles, as well as injuries arising from dangerous conditions of public property and negligently maintained common areas.

After initially founding Rulsky Law Group, Jerry joined one of the nation’s largest personal injury firms, where he further refined his litigation and trial skills. There, he took cases to trial, worked on high stakes traumatic brain injury and catastrophic injury matters, and litigated against major insurance carriers, national corporate defendants, and governmental entities. That experience solidified a trial first philosophy and sharpened the courtroom discipline that now defines his practice.

Jerry later restarted and rebranded Rulsky Law Group, bringing with him the rigor, structure, and expectations of a large scale litigation practice while preserving the focus and accessibility of a boutique trial firm. Since becoming a lawyer, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars for injured clients, including multiple seven figure results, and has taken cases through trial and verdict, experience held by only a small percentage of personal injury attorneys nationwide.

At the core of Jerry’s practice is a clear professional calling to represent plaintiffs. People who have been harmed, taken advantage of, or wronged need someone willing to stand between them and powerful defendants. That commitment is reinforced by personal experience. Jerry has lived through the physical and emotional toll of serious injury himself, including chronic back pain and a severe shoulder injury sustained in an e-bike accident that left him unable to lift his left arm for months. During recovery, he experienced firsthand the fear, uncertainty, frustration, and disruption that injury victims often face when their lives are suddenly put on hold. He understands the anxiety of navigating medical treatment, physical limitations, lost productivity, an uncertain future, and what it feels like to question whether full recovery is possible.

That perspective shapes how Jerry practices law. Cases are never just files or claim numbers. They are people navigating some of the most difficult periods of their lives who need clarity, reassurance, and an advocate who truly understands what they are going through. Outside the courtroom, Jerry is a devoted husband and father of two daughters, and a dog lover. In his time off, you can often find Jerry hiking around his neighborhood with his golden retrievers, enjoying good food, or at Dodger stadium cheering on his favorite hometown team. Family is central to his values, and that same sense of responsibility and protection guides his advocacy on behalf of injured clients and their families.
